More Birthday Cakes!

This week had a full blast working on characters cake.  One of them was Blues Clues! It was a strawberry shortcake, vanilla cake layered with strawberry buttercream. The cake was covered with vanilla buttercream, and of course paws!

Another fun cake I got to make this week was an Elmo cake for a cute little girl - Brooklyn! The cake was a strawberry shortcake, and the Elmo was sculpted with fondant and rice krispies. I finished the Elmo hair with spiky red royal icing. He looks so fluffly! Happy Birthday Brooklyn!

So what characters I should do next?

Jessica and Brett's Wedding

Brett came in two weeks before their wedding! He was prepared with all the cupcakes flavors and design. Love it. Details are important, but I love simplicity. This wedding is a perfect example of simplicity yet elegant!

We prepared four different flavors and a 6"cake for the cake cutting ceremony. Here are some pictures from the wedding day. All pictures are courtesy from Sarah Lim Photography.
